Altus Group Celebrates Multiple Nominations at the 2026 TMAA Excellence Awards

The Traffic Management Association of Australia (TMAA) Excellence Awards shine a spotlight on the individuals and organisations driving excellence, innovation, and safety across Australia’s traffic management industry.

This year, the Altus Group is incredibly proud to celebrate seven finalist nominations across a range of categories at the 2026 TMAA Excellence Awards — recognising the outstanding people and projects that make up our national team.

NATIONAL TRAFFIC CONTROLLER OF THE YEAR

We are proud to have two Altus Traffic finalists recognised in the 2026 National Traffic Controller of the Year category.

Travis Garvey

With more than a decade of industry experience, Travis Garvey has built a reputation for professionalism, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Known for his calmness under pressure and ability to lead by example, Travis sets the tone on every site he works on across Western Australia.

His nomination reflects what clients and colleagues already know — Travis is among the very best in the field, consistently delivering safe and efficient traffic management outcomes.

Jess McInerney

Representing our New South Wales team, Jess McInerney is recognised for her calm confidence, clear communication, and ability to coordinate safe, seamless outcomes on the ground.

Jess brings people together, solves challenges in real time, and upholds the highest safety standards for clients and communities alike. Her finalist recognition is incredibly well deserved.

OPERATION TEAM MEMBER OF THE YEAR

Congratulations to Lisa Sheppeard, named a finalist for the 2026 TMAA Operation Team Member of the Year.

Over her 10-year journey with Altus, Lisa has progressed from Traffic Controller to Service Delivery Manager — demonstrating exceptional leadership and operational expertise along the way.

She has played key roles on major infrastructure projects including WestConnex and NorthConnex, consistently delivering above and beyond for clients and crews.

Today, Lisa oversees end-to-end service delivery with the same passion and commitment that defined her early career. We are incredibly proud of her achievement.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PROJECT/EVENT OF THE YEAR

Altus Traffic has been named a finalist for Traffic Management Project/Event of the Year for our work on the 2025 Australian Grand Prix.

Led by Petar Krstic, our Altus Events Team delivered a complex, high-profile traffic operation supporting the iconic Australian Grand Prix.

This nomination recognises the scale, precision, and teamwork required to safely manage one of Australia’s most significant major events.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT TRAINER OF THE YEAR

We are proud to share that Tim Nemeth is a finalist for Trainer of the Year at the 2026 TMAA Excellence Awards.
