Altus Traffic Implements Life Saving Rules

Safety is the top priority for Altus Traffic, and it starts with our Life-Saving Rules. We adopt six essential rules that are designed to keep our employees safe and ensure that they return home to their families every day.

The Life-Saving Rules are simple but effective. We maintain a drug and alcohol-free workplace, drive safely, establish exclusion zones around mobile plant and machinery, avoid using mobile phones while performing Stop/Slow duties, minimise exposure to live traffic, and follow all procedures for safety critical activities.

At Altus Traffic, we believe that safety isn't just a buzzword - it's an ongoing commitment. We empower our teams to take action when needed, and we create a culture of safety that is consistent, unambiguous, and scalable.

If an employee feels pressured to break a Life-Saving Rule or believes there is no other option to get the job done safely, they are encouraged to stop and call their supervisor. If an employee chooses to break the Life-Saving Rules, they are choosing not to work for Altus Traffic.

Our commitment to safety extends beyond our Life-Saving Rules. We provide our employees with ongoing training, equipment, and support to ensure that they have the knowledge and resources they need to stay safe on the job.

By prioritising safety and investing in our employees, we are building a better and safer workplace for everyone. At Altus Traffic, safety is more than just a priority - it's a way of life.
