Altus Traffic Leader Britt O’Dwyer Takes the Helm as TMAA President
Altus Traffic proudly congratulates Britt O’Dwyer on her appointment as President of the Traffic Management Association of Australia, marking a significant milestone in a career spanning more than 15 years of leadership in traffic management — and an historic moment as the first female President of the organisation.
Having held senior executive roles including COO of WARP Traffic Management and General Manager of Altus Traffic WA, Britt has consistently championed the recognition of traffic management personnel as the safety professionals they are.
Reflecting on her appointment, Britt said:
“I’m honoured to have been elected as the President of the Traffic Management Association of Australia. As I take on this responsibility, my focus is clear - continuing to strengthen safety outcomes, advocating for our members, and advancing the professionalism of traffic management across Australia alongside the members, the TMAA Team and our Board.
Our industry is built on the expertise and commitment of the people on the ground every day, and it’s essential that we continue to back them and the work they do with strong leadership, clear standards and collaboration.
I am proud to be the first female president and see it as a reflection of the progress our industry is making as it continues to evolve and grow. I’d like to acknowledge Tynan Diaz and the leaders that have come before me and the ongoing efforts of our board, members, stakeholders and the TMAA team. Together, we have a strong foundation to build on.
I look forward to working with all of you as we continue to strengthen our industry and deliver meaningful outcomes for our members and the communities we serve. Thank you for your continued support.”
Britt’s appointment follows a formal two stage election process, where members elect the National Board who then elect the President and other office bearers from within its ranks at the AGM through an internal vote.
