Altus Group Wins 2025 National Safety Initiative Award
Altus Group is proud to receive the 2025 National Safety Initiative Award, presented by the Australian Flexible Pavement Association (AfPA), recognising our industry-leading Workzone Digitisation initiative.
This national award celebrates exceptional efforts to enhance safety across the Flexible Pavement Industry. Each year, AfPA acknowledges individuals and organisations that demonstrate leadership and measurable impact in industry and stakeholder engagement, safety leadership, sustainable safety practices, and overall safety outcomes.
Our Workzone Digitisation initiative is revolutionising how safety is managed on road projects. By integrating smart technologies such as sensors, live data monitoring, and automated alert systems, we’re transforming conventional work zones into responsive, intelligent safety networks. These systems actively detect risks and trigger instant alerts—shifting safety management from reactive to proactive.
Beyond immediate hazard prevention, this digital framework captures invaluable data that drives continuous safety enhancement. The result is a safer, smarter, and more adaptive environment for crews working in some of the most challenging road conditions.
We are proud to be recognised among Australia’s leading innovators in infrastructure safety and extend our heartfelt thanks to AfPA for this honour, as well as to Transport for NSW, sponsor of this award category, for their continued partnership and commitment to raising safety standards across the industry.
