Altus signals rapid growth
A strategic partnership with one of Australia’s largest road contractors is the first deal in what is expected to be a busy year for Altus, the leading provider of traffic control services in the country.
CEO of Altus Traffic CEO Ben Marsonet said the multi-year partnership with Downer would strengthen the company’s position in key markets across Australia, where it is already the leading provider of traffic management services on major transport projects.
Under the deal, as well as acquiring the Downer Traffic Management business, Altus will extend its 15 year partnership with Downer across multiple regions.
“We are excited about the opportunity this partnership presents and the platform it creates for continued growth within our Traffic business,” Mr Marsonet said.

Downer General Manager of Road Services Qld, Darryl Byrne, said the partnership is mutually beneficial and synergistic for Downer, allowing it to focus on project delivery, while retaining the experience and expertise of Australia’s most experienced traffic management business.
