Altus Events Team Recognised at TMAA Awards for 2025 Australian Grand Prix Delivery
Altus Traffic is proud to announce that our Events Team in Victoria has been awarded Highly Commended in the Traffic Management Project/Event of the Year category at the 2026 Traffic Management Association of Australia (TMAA) Excellence Awards.
This recognition reflects the scale, complexity, and success of our work on the 2025 Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix—one of the nation’s most significant and high-profile sporting events.
Altus Traffic Highly Commended Award was accepted by Russell McAdam, GM - VIC on behalf of the Altus Events Team VIC.
Spanning five months of planning and delivery, the project brought together a team of 100 Altus professionals to support an event that attracted more than 465,000 attendees across four days in Melbourne. The team was responsible for delivering a highly complex Traffic Management Plan, requiring precision, adaptability, and seamless coordination across multiple stakeholders.
What set this project apart was not only its operational scale, but also the team’s commitment to a responsive and community-focused approach. The solution was carefully designed to support event operations while minimising disruption and maintaining strong engagement with the surrounding community—ensuring the experience matched the energy and expectations of a world-class event.
This achievement is a testament to the expertise and dedication of the Altus Events Team, led by Petar Krstic, whose leadership played a key role in delivering an outstanding outcome.
Altus extends its thanks to the Traffic Management Association of Australia for the recognition, the judges, and to Ventia for sponsoring this award category. We also congratulate all finalists for their contributions to advancing excellence in event traffic management across Australia.
