Road Worker Day of Remembrance 2023

On November 9, Altus Group is proud to support the national Road Worker Day of Remembrance once more. This day is dedicated to paying tribute to the brave men and women in our industry who have lost their lives or suffered serious injuries while working diligently to keep our roads safe.

Road workers are the unsung heroes who play a pivotal role in upholding the infrastructure our communities rely on daily. Just like anyone heading to work, they deserve to return home safely to their loved ones. Sadly, in recent years, we've been witness to too many heart-wrenching incidents, where news of another injury or loss has left us all deeply affected.

This Road Worker Day of Remembrance, each of our 4,000+ staff members will pause for a moment of reflection, honouring the lives of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice or have been injured in the line of duty. These are individuals who may have been part of our Altus Group family or other dedicated workers in the industry. Regardless of personal connections, we share a profound empathy, fully comprehending the inherent risks they face while working near live traffic.

We are grateful to SARAH Group for their steadfast dedication in driving this important day forward. We encourage like-minded organisations and individuals to join us in raising awareness on this significant occasion. Please consider sharing the following social media assets along with the tag #RWDOR:

Let us unite as a community to remember and honour those who have sacrificed so much to ensure the safety of our roads. Together, we can work towards a safer future for all road workers.
