As the six-month-long partnership with the Legacy Centenary Torch Relay 2023 reaches its conclusion, Altus Events reflects on the fun had delivering expert traffic management throughout this significant journey. The torch relay covered a remarkable distance of 18,500 kilometres, including flights, with the on-ground relay traversing 436 kilometres across the Australian terrain, all meticulously coordinated by the expertise of Altus Events.

The commemorative relay was initiated in Pozières, France on 23 April 2023, marking the start of a memorable journey that took the torch through London, before it toured all 44 Legacy Clubs in Australia. The relay's finale, which took place last Friday in Melbourne, signalled the end of a six-month celebration that resonated with the values of community, heritage, and teamwork. This monumental event witnessed 60 relays being successfully conducted around Australia, showcasing a blend of tradition, honour, and impeccable planning.
