ALTUS GROUP SECURES MULTIPLE WINS AT THE 2023 TMAA EXCELLENCE AWARDS

As we close another chapter on the Traffic Management Association Australia (TMAA) Excellence Awards, we take immense pride in celebrating the achievements of our team at Altus Group and the broader traffic management community. This year, our nominations spanned multiple categories, showcasing the depth of talent and dedication within our ranks.

Our heartfelt congratulations goes out to Gerard O'Neill from CivilEdge RTO – our Group training organisation - for taking home the Traffic Management Trainer of the Year Award. Gerard's achievement not only highlights his personal dedication to his students but also sets a benchmark for training excellence within the industry.

A special congratulations also as we celebrate Davud Karadag's win in the Rising Star Traffic Controller Award. Davud, one of our Traffic Diversions Group (TDG) superstar TCs has risen to become an inspiring professional in our field, illustrating the heights achievable with passion and dedication.

The Event of the Year Award was secured by our Traffic Diversions Group (TDG) for their outstanding work during the Run for the Kids event in Melbourne and further cements our reputation in event traffic management. This award demonstrates our commitment to community well-being and road safety, showcasing our dedication to excellence in event traffic management.

And in the big one, Sam Loprete took out the Australian Traffic Controller of the Year Award against an impressive array of nominees from each State and Territory. His win is a testament to his outstanding commitment to his role and his demonstration of safety excellence. Sam's positive influence, dedication to safety, and ability to work so well with teams and the public is a model example of what all traffic controllers should aspire to. This award is a proud milestone that underscores the essential values we champion at Altus Traffic and the wider Altus Group.

We also extend our congratulations to Steven Bishop from Altus Traffic for receiving a Highly Commended Award for Operations Manager of the Year. Bish's contributions to the industry are highly valued, and this recognition serves as recognition of his impact and dedication in enhancing in-field operations and leadership within the traffic management sector.
